Federal Work Study:
If you are an RCC Student and qualify to participate in the Federal Work Study Program, you can work at Campus Fun and Learn. If you don’t know if you qualify, you should speak with your Financial Aid Advisor. Once you know that you qualify, you can take your financial aid award letter to the Office of Student Development on the second floor o the Technology Building on campus. Explain to that administrator that you would like to work at Campus Fun and Learn. You can then come to CF&L and speak with the Director for an interview, to arrange your hours, and to complete necessary paperwork so that a background check can be conducted. All Student Workers must participate in an Orientation and read the Student Workers Handbook.
You may volunteer for a few hours each week. If you are an RCC student and would like to receive credit hours for this, you need to register at the Office of Student Involvement in the Student Union. Whether or not you want the credit, you need to come and meet with the Director for an interview, to arrange your hours, and to complete necessary paperwork so that a background check can be conducted. All Volunteers must read the Student Visitors Orientation.
Field Work and Observations:
Students from the Teacher Education/Early Childhood Education Department, Psychology Dept., and others at RCC and other higher learning institutions are welcome to complete assignments in child development and in education at Campus Fun and Learn. Such students must first speak with the Director to arrange their schedules. Students who need significant and repeated visits to our program will be required to complete necessary paperwork so that a background check can be conducted. All Student Observers much read the Student Visitors Orientation.
